Between The Dales and The Moors
Westfield Farm is situated in the small hamlet of Little Barugh (pronounced Barf), and this provides an ideal location to explore The Yorkshire Dales, The North York Moors, Yorkshire's stunning coastline and the beautiful historic city of York.
To the west we face the Howardian Hills which are recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestled between the North York Moors National Park, the undiscovered Yorkshire Wolds and the Vale of York. It is a unique and captivating landscape with its well-wooded rolling countryside, patchwork of arable and pasture fields, scenic villages and historic country houses with classic parkland landscapes.

The Family
We are a family of four; Linda and Alan, daughter Tracey and son-in-law Mark.
There is also our four small, friendly dogs, Barney and Tilly (Portuguese Pedengos) and Rosie and Toffee (Boston Terriers).
We all take our turn in looking after the holiday cottages and welcoming our guests. We pride ourselves in trying to offer the very best personal service and guest experience we can provide. This is backed up by our consistent 5 star ratings and customer service awards.
Springtime at Westfield Farm
We have two natural ponds where these moorhens nest. Last year between several breeding pairs they produced 17 lovely chicks which have since fledged the nest to make way for the next generations. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to see the new ones this year ?
Our grandson has built a custom made Moorhen Hotel for the middle of the large pond which we hope to see fully booked this summer!
